I recently finished Pathologic 2, better known as Pathologic. The game itself is a remake of the 2005 game of the same name, with updated graphics and gameplay. I had a chance to play the original, so despite reminiscing about it for over 10 years, I knew roughly what to expect from the creation of the Moscow studio Ice-Pick Lodge. However, Pathologic is a game of the "you never know what's coming next" variety, and no one can be physically, and most importantly, emotionally, prepared for it. I was inspired to create this video by the game itself, and in it, I tried to answer the question you're probably wondering: is Pathologic 2 worth playing? What's the entry threshold? Is it a hack job by some no-names, with pseudo-hardcore and the same premise? So, I'll tell you this: Pathologic 2 is worth playing for anyone who's reached even the slightest awareness, who can read, at least by syllables, and knows where to poop.
But at the same time, I must warn you that this game isn't for everyone. That's what it was like in 2005, when the original Pathologic was released, and it's still the same in 2019, renamed Pathalogic 2, but its core hasn't changed. You're unlikely to find any secrets to Pathalogic 2 or other tips for completing it in this video. This is a spoiler-free review, and I hope you enjoy it.
