West Bend Popcorn Popper Stir Crazy : This is my third stir crazy. Wife knocked the last one off the counter and so much of it was broken that I was afraid to use it again. Eventually the piece that screws in and holds the stewer down cracks an wears out. However, I pop a lot of popcorn. I eat it for breakfeast, appetizersorwhenever I am hungry. So, the fact that I wear out the thing after a few years should not be a deal killler. I do recommend using 3 tablespoons of oil if you put the maximum amount of unpopped popcorn in it. 2 tablespoons will work, but with 3 tablespoons you will have fewer unpopped kernels.
