Usha Heller Cunnigham Method with Naseem Roberto Baffa
The Myofascial Structural Alignment (MSA) process is a new kind of soft touch bodywork, working through the medium of fascia to release muscles and facilitate skeleton alignment, natural posture and ease of movement.
The MSA method was created and developed in the 1980s in California by Indian bodywork master Usha Heller Cunningham. I had the honor of training with Usha in 2018 and 2019 in New York and this video is born to give some glimpse of this amzing and effective bodywork method. Since then Usha's most amazing touch, her deep knowledge and infinite love are always an inspiration to me (which is why when I practice her method I keep my Indian bracelets like she always did, and to remind myself her words: Do not move! Stay there, be patient, ...).
Fascia release is slow. In comparison to when I do the massages where I move and dance constantly around the body, here I’m mainly still in my genle but precise pressure. I tried then to edit this video like a choreography with a dancing rythm between the different steps.
I dedicate this video with my deepest gratitude to Usha Heller and her husband Bob Cunnigham for the incredible amount of love and invaluable knowledge they shared with me in New York.
