In 2017, the inaugural Dickinson ISD STEAM cohort began their journey at Barber Middle School. Tonight, we proudly celebrate as these pioneering STEAM students graduate from high school.
Over the years, their experiences have been instrumental in helping DISD evaluate, adapt, and expand the program. Today, STEAM education is thriving at all three of our middle schools and junior high campuses. Thanks to their contributions, the STEAM program continues to evolve, benefiting the next generation of students.
To honor their journey, each member of the first STEAM cohort received a black cord, symbolizing their commitment and accomplishments in the STEAM fields. Many of these students are now pursuing careers inspired by their early classroom experiences.
A heartfelt thank you to the dedicated staff members who made this day possible, helping students turn their dreams into reality. Congratulations to the Class of 2024!
