These 52-day-old ducklings are still shy
It is part of the duck instinct to be shy and afraid of most things. The ducks which we brought home as two-month-olds are less afraid of us now than when they were new about a year ago. But they are still afraid of us. The only sure way to ensure the ducks are not afraid of us seems to be raising them from ducklings with lots of personal attention, rather than allowing them to be raised by duck mamas.
