What's My Line? - LOST EPISODE!!! [Audio excerpt] (Dec 2, 1951)
Here's a REALLY special item: 9 minutes of audio from an otherwise completely lost early episode of What's My Line, courtesy of Sammy Jones, a member of the WML Facebook group. The only reason this excerpt survives is because it was recorded directly off the air when the show was originally broadcast, in Atlanta from station WAGA-TV. Even the Paley Center doesn't have this one, folks!
Unfortunately it's just an excerpt, cutting off just before the panel seemed sure to guess the first contestant's line. But I consider this a major new item, as well as a milestone for the WML channel: This is the first (but hopefully not the last!) totally new item to be posted here that has never been available to the general public before. . . except very recently on Sammy's own SoundCloud channel!
