Here I walk you step by step how to design pet tags in Photoshop - Bone Shape Dog Tag. We use the Clipping Mask tool in PS to clip it onto the Sublimation Template.
Designing for sublimation in Photoshop can be over whelming but if you break it down step by step you will soon be on your way to being able to create many designs for sublimation printing. Sublimation design tutorials like this one take the guess work out of preparing your sublimation transfer for print. You will make mistakes, its ok all sublimation beginners do.
Now that you have made your sublimation design you are ready to print onto sublimation paper and transfer it using a heat press.

I use Photoshop Elements when designing for sublimation and in many ways I thinks it's easier for beginners. Here are a few videos were I use PS Elements to design for a sublimation mug project. I use a fun technique where I cut out text and overlay it with a photo to make a cute design for my sublimation project.
