There are three methods you can use VR in the dark, but only two methods I recommend using since the Quest's built in dark mode is still in progress. Whatever you read online, do not use the built in dark mode since it's a hit or miss, and you will be restricted to 3DOF not 6DOF (Degrees of Freedom).

When people go to bed, you are up instead
Watch movies or relax on a beach while laying in bed
No need to disturb your partner when they are asleep
You won't see the gap of light under your nose
be the laziest VR
