Rushing around, trying to get the errands done, thinking about the to-do lists, reaching the destination in time has become a part of our daily schedule. Most of us use cars for this purpose and thus car is becoming the most reliable and convenient way of public as well as private transportation system. The unmanned automated (Driverless) vehicle (car) is a highly secure and high performance means of transportation. The prototype make use of raspberry Pi 3B to control the vehicle movement and computer vision applications.
The ultrasonic sensors are used in this approach to avoid the collision with obstacle and drive without accident. The traffic signal queries are solved with the advanced computer vision algorithm which are implemented on raspberry pi hardware module.
The main aim of this project is to develop a driverless vehicle which will reduce rash driving and human errors. Ultrasonic sensor is used to detect object and estimate the minimum distance. Lane is continuously detected and vehicle behavior is estimated accordingly. Traffic signals are identified using Color detection algorithm.
