So. Forge welding! A vital skill to master for any smith, it allows the creation of pieces in parts that can later be welded into one piece and the creation of pattern welded steel.
So I guess I better learn how to do it and I figured that process would be interesting to follow along with. I have done a whole lot of reading and I highly recommend you do too if you have any intention of doing it yourself. There's a lot of information out there, not all of it correct, but the only way to get started is to get reading/watching.
That said, having some experimentation to watch always helps! So in this video I'm going to try some things and see what happens. I'm looking to learn what it looks like when things are going well AND when they're not!
