Compensation is a fairly advanced set of BPMN (Business Process Model and Notation) symbols that aim to undo, rollback, or cancel something that successfully completed earlier in the process. Typical examples include booking a train or airline ticket, reserving a rental car, charging a credit card, or commissioning a service provider.
