The first character you run into in video games is supposed to be a tutorial guide. A friendly little fella that teaches you how the game works. And, while he certainly teaches you how the world of Undertale works… Flowey the Flower is ANYTHING but friendly. He’s a heartless, soulless demon who embodies the mantra of “Kill or be killed”. An even once you think he’s been dealt with, the chlorophyllin creature keeps popping up here and there, taunting you after you encounter Toriel, manipulating Muffet into attacking you, persuading Papyrus to gather everyone in one place… and at the end of the Neutral Route, once King Asgore is beaten, he steals the human souls Asgore collected, transforming into a Photoshop nightmare that plans to rip you to bloody pieces for eternity. While there is a bunch of deeper lore to him… you’ve probably already heard about Undertale’s story plenty. And if you haven’t? Play it. It’s fun. And then play this video over the Omega Flowey boss for some immersion.
