Moped GDR Simson SR2 Sound - The coveted post-war models SR1 and SR2 come from the VEB vehicle and equipment factory Simson - Thuringia in Suhl. The first variant was built in a number of 152,000 between 1955 and 1957. The SR2 could be purchased from 1957 to 1964.
The Simson SR2 is a small two-stroke moped manufactured in Germany from 1977 to 1983. It is powered by a two-cylinder forced-air-cooled engine, with a capacity of 49 cc. Its top speed is roughly between 50 and 55 km/h (30 to 35 mph). The SR2 features a three-speed transmission and a small pressed steel frame. It is often used for city driving and is fairly popular for customization.
