Riding 50 miles around an ACTIVE VOLCANO
Today we're recreating a ride we first did in 2012, on the first trip we ever took together. At this point, we had been dating for six months, and while Macky was racing XC seriously at this point, I was utterly unprepared for a 50 mile circumnavigation of a volcano. It was hot, we got eaten alive by gargantuan black flies, of COURSE we ran out of food and water, and I experienced what is, to this day, the worst bonk of my life. But if you've been following us for any time at all, you know we are drawn back to things that didn't go so well the first time around. So today, we're trying again.
