In Episode 45 of Snare Drum TV, you'll learn how to play a great grid exercise called the Flam Drag Grid. The Flam Drag Grid is simply a Triplet Grid with the Flam Drag drum rudiment played on top of it. If you don't know what the Triplet Grid is yet, I highly suggest that you go check out episode 25 where I teach you exactly what the triplet grid is, how it works, and how to play it. Once you understand and have worked up the Triplet Grid, then come back to this episode and learn how to put Flam Drags on it.
This can be a very challenging drum exercise is this is the first time you've played something along these lines so be sure to slow it down and take your time. If you want the sheet music and practice tracks for this exercise, be sure to sign up as a member on the website!
