CCTV footage of an incident that occurred on Thursday, October 17th, 2024 in which a taxiing American Airlines Boeing 787-9 DreamLiner ingested a cargo container into its #2 (right side) engine after an Air France Airbus A350-900 added engine power to continue taxiing to its gate.
An airport ground worker drove a tug towing 3 dollies with cargo containers and 1 luggage cart on the service road between both aircraft, completely disregarding jetblast safety protocols. All 3 cargo containers got blown off their dollies (trailers) and 1 was ingested by the #2 engine of the American 787.
