Version 1.4, not cheating, a Tanner skill gives him invulnerability during and for two seconds after a Takedown (And his leveled up ability lets him perform them from the front, even in battle)
This is possible in the Steam version with a flashbang or smoke bomb but it is ill advised, unless you use Aidan's Toughen Up ability.
