Last year, Luiz faced a critical situation when his mother urgently needed a kidney transplant and needed blood. In a moment of desperation, Luiz's friends rushed to the donation center, only to find a long line of potential donors, making it impossible to donate blood in time for his mother's operation. Fortunately, the transplant turned out to be successful, and Luiz was determined to address this issue to improve donor prioritization based on urgent demand for specific blood types.
Taking matters into their own hands, Luiz and his team developed an innovative iTwin app. This app leverages a wide range of technologies, including smart cameras and AI, to accurately measure the number of people in the waiting room. Plus, it integrates seamlessly with external APIs to help monitor real-time demand for specific blood types. Luiz's dedication to this project stems from his personal experience and desire to ensure that no one else must face the same challenges when it comes to securing critical blood donations in times of need.
