To insert a caption in Microsoft Word 2010.
1. *Inserting the Caption:*
Place your cursor where you want to insert the caption (typically below the video or figure).
Go to the *References* tab in the ribbon at the top of Word.
2. *Adding the Caption:*
Click on *Insert Caption* in the *Captions* group. This opens the Caption dialog box.
In the Caption dialog box, select the *Label* dropdown and choose "Video" or "Figure," depending on your preference or what best describes your content.
Enter the caption text in the *Caption* field. This text will appear below your video.
3. *Formatting the Caption:*
You can format the caption by selecting the text and using the formatting options in the Home tab (e.g., font style, size, alignment).
4. *Adjusting Caption Position:*
If necessary, you can change the position of the caption by clicking on the *Position* dropdown in the Caption dialog box and selecting either "Below selected item" or "Above selected item."
5. *Applying and Finalizing:*
Once you're satisfied with the caption, click *OK* to insert it into your document.
6. *Updating and Managing Captions:*
Word will automatically number your captions and create a list of figures or tables if you have multiple captions in your document.
To update captions or the list of figures/tables, use the options in the Captions group under the References tab.
