End Femicide Kenya: Be Your Sister’s Keeper!
In Kenya, at least 50 women have been killed every year since 2016. These femicide incidences have become pervasive and perennial in Kenya, becoming a national crisis that requires urgent attention and effective action. Unfortunately, the incidents are reported as isolated cases, and often sensationalized. However, recent killings of women by men are beginning to raise the alarm and getting traction. Women-led human rights organizations and feminist movements have led national protests to draw attention to the severity of the cases and demand action to bring an end to femicide.
