Genshin 2.0 leaks are getting out of hand! (What happened to Mattjestic Multigaming?)
With 2.0 Inazuma coming soon there has been absolutely no shortage of new leaks coming to Genshin Impact and it shows no signs of stopping anytime soon. A longtime creator of the community who was known for making videos about such leaks named Mattjestic is now on the verge of losing his channel (albeit wrongfully as of July 2021) in part because of such videos.

I don’t think it’s every a point to celebrate someone losing their livelihood, but this does present a very important learning point for any and all content creators about where we stand because this is a bigger grey area than any of you think.The problem is that everyone has a different point where they call something too far.
Leaks are a gigantic talking point in the community and a really dicey subject to discuss because technically they are all illegal and bad, but they have the potential to MASSIVELY help out the community, especially free to play players. Leaks have a lot of good they can do, and also a lot of bad. It hurts the people at Mihoyo who spend hundreds of hours on these projects. But on the other end because Mihoyo doesn’t throw a lot of bones at free to play players this hidden information helps them out immensely by letting them plan out months in advance.

With Inazuma coming in 2.0 the real question is, will leaks ruin the game? In the battle of Tectone vs Mattjestic which side comes out on top? There’s pros and cons after all. Or how about the other age old debate, pay to win (whales) vs. free to play? One one end you have Mtashed, Enviosity and Dish repping f2p nation while on the other end you have Tenha, OkCode, Xlice, Tuonto and Sekapokko that go full ham C6 every new banner. Either way I hope you are looking forward to Offline TV’s LilyPichu as she joins the cast of Genshin Impact as the voice of Sayu. What’s next? Maybe someone like Pokimane or Sykkuno will voice a future character. Youtube’s own Bwaap perhaps? But with the Genshin 1 year anniversary around the corner the real question is, will we get more than 108 primogems from Mihoyo?
