The 1922 Milburn Electric is one of about 4,000 Milburn Electrics produced from 1914 to 1923. The Milburn Company started off as a wagon company but transitioned to electric vehicles after believing they could create an electric vehicle cheaper and more efficient than those currently on the market. While more expensive than gas-powered cars at the time, the Milburn Electric was able to compete with the other electric cars at its time until General Motors bought the firm's body plant in 1923.
