[MPSI/MP2I/PCSI] Determinants - CCP MP 2022 Math 2 Solution (Vandermonde determinant)
Hi, today we're tackling an exercise from the CCP exam in the MP track, which covers the first-year curriculum, and more specifically, the Vandermonde determinant, a classic problem involving polynomials and determinants. Accessible from the end of the first year of preparatory classes, this problem allows you to experience the first real-world exam questions! The problem has two parts: a more theoretical first part, where you have to prove the formula for the Vandermonde determinant by induction, and a more practical part where you have to reduce the problem to a calculation that reveals a Vandermonde determinant.
