Swapping my 5.3L for a 6.2L LS Engine
Wanted a bit more power out of the rig (which is a 2011 GMC sierra 1500 with the 6l80 transmission). I found a good deal on a 6.2L L92 Engine out of a 2007 Cadillac Escalade. Both engines being a Gen 4 makes this swap basically plug and play other than my oil pressure sensor being a different connector, just had to use my original sensor, the map sensor is also different and will not plug in. I had to cut and splice the wires using the Escalades connector and map sensor. This engine makes 403hp and 417 lb ft, a bit better than what my 5.3 could make. I decided to just keep it stock for now but it is a better base to start with. Can make more power easily and the torque curve is better for my application. Hope you enjoy! Thanks for watching.
