Paleontologists Present Online Showcase of 3-D Fossils
After more than two decades of planning, recent technical advances have enabled a museum to place hundreds of 3-D scanned images on a new website. Initially intended as a tool to help field paleontologists identify fossils, the powerful new resource is expected to have wide appeal to students and the general public, according to the museum's director.
