This little RF transceiver is something I designed recently. It uses the SX1238 transceiver IC from Semtech. It is similar in features to the RFM69 or RFM69HW, but has an additional power amplifier to boost the output to up to 500mW vs the 100mW output of the RFM69HW. I'm planning on using these as nodes in a sensor network around my property. The traditional smart home automation networks that are out there have difficulty reaching the remote locations of my property, so I'm hoping these transceivers will do the trick.
