Basics - 5.2: Errors [deprecated]
There are 2 main kinds of errors in software engineering: syntax errors and logical errors. Syntax errors are typically caught prior to program execution, where the program will not run unless the syntax is fixed. Logical errors may not be caught until after program execution, where a user may notice a bad output. The browser is a helpful vehicle for triaging and debugging errors in JavaScript.
