About the game:
Overwatch is a character class shooter where instead of picking different gun loadouts players pick different heroes. The hero roster sports a very diverse cast of characters from various countries around the world. Each hero has their own unique weapons and skillset, and also fill one of 4 roles; Attack, Defense, Tank and Support.
Overwatch does allow for hero swapping though, which means games can change on the fly with a different team composition. Game modes include capture the point, with one team attacking to capture 2 points, and the other defending. Escort, where one team attacks to cap a point, and then escort a payload to the end of the map, while the other team defends to prevent them from doing so. And king-of-the-hill, where both teams try to capture and hold a single point until their teams bar reaches 100%
Overwatch is developed by blizzard, the same company famous fr hit franchises such as Warcraft, Starcraft, and Diablo. Overwatch is currently available at $40 on PC and $60 on PS4 and Xbox One. The game was launched with casual play, while Blizzard added competitive ranked play about a month after launch. Blizzard states that all Overwatch updates will remain free, with the only additional cost to players being micro-transactions to earn additional cosmetic rewards.
