Sally Bixby Tournament of Roses President, 2013
Sally Bixby, RN, inspired her fellow nurses to organize and build a float honoring nurses, when they heard she was named Tournament of Roses President for 2013. Those five nurses began the process in 2007 and after years of hard work they saw their efforts come to life. Nurses from all over the United States donated money and then came to Pasadena to decorate the float. In 2013, for the first time ever, nurses had their own float in the Rose Parade.
