Battle for Vera is a real-time strategy game developed and published by Matic. The game was first released for Windows on November 1, 2024.
Inspired by Dune II: The Building of a Dynasty, Battle for Vera features three factions fighting over the planet Vera, a source for Veritium, a rare liquid energy source: Terra Prima, a corporate conglomerate, the ruthless Crimson Empire, and BioNexus, a enigmatic faction with experimental weapons. Each faction has its own ten-mission campaign.
The game largely follows Dune II's design, but features structures which are, for the most part, deploy via mobile vehicles, and resources that need to be transferred to a refinery via pipelines. Other aspects of the Battle for Vera from the Westwood school of real-time strategy include a sidebar, no population limit, and power structures.
