PROGRAMME:
BPTT has been supporting Mayaro’s Brighter Prospects since 2003 giving scholarships to young people from the community to help them attain higher education so they can help build a brighter future for themselves and the country.
We support our scholars throughout their time in the Brighter Prospects Programme. They benefit from:
• Paid internships and
• Personal academic development planning
All to ensure that they get the best out of their educational journey.
We’ve sent 540 people from Mayaro to tertiary institutions across Trinidad and Tobago. 96% of our scholars have completed their degrees and on average it takes our graduates 6 months to find gainful employment. Our scholars are now engineers, doctors, teachers, entrepreneurs and others even work at BP in Trinidad and Tobago.
We also believe that our scholars need to give back to their community to help others achieve their dreams. That’s why they’ve given 100s of hours of volunteer service in Mayaro assisting the elderly, mentoring youth and supporting community projects.
BPTT is investing in Mayaro’s youth, helping them to secure a good education. This is just one way that BPTT is keeping the country’s energy moving forward!
