The CNSA, the Chinese Space Agency, released images of 3I/ATLAS taken during the close flyby of the interstellar visitor by Mars.
There are several 30-second images where it is possible to observe the movement of the interstellar object 3I/ATLAS as it passed less than 30 million km from Mars. The images were taken by the Tianwen-1 probe, which is in orbit around Mars.
Because it was designed to photograph the bright surface of the Red Planet, the Tianwen-1 camera shows 3I/ATLAS with low resolution, as it is a small object against the dark background of space. Yes, it looks like a "space invader," as revealed in the image released by the European Space Agency; however, this is the result of an observation made by equipment designed for another purpose.
Still, it's worth highlighting: China is ahead of the US in terms of transparency. So far, the best images of 3I/ATLAS taken by NASA's HiRISE camera have not yet been released.
According to Congresswoman Anna Paulina Luna, a meeting with NASA took place. She was informed that due to the government shutdown, we will have to wait. However, she clarifies that NASA agrees with Avi Loeb that the 3I/ATLAS object has an anomalous tail.
And a new object was discovered by Gennady Borisov. The temporary designation was GB00810, and it is a comet. The official name of the new object is C/2025 V1 (Borisov), and it is expected to make its close approach to the Sun on November 16th.
In Europe, things are complicated. Drones forced the total closure of Belgian airspace. Authorities are trying to clarify what these drones are – not even the pilots know what is happening, nor does any authority.
And yesterday's solar storm, November 5th, was strong, reaching G3 level. And get ready because we'll have more! A large Coronal Mass Ejection is expected to hit our planet in the early morning between November 6th and 7th, potentially producing another G3 level solar storm – or perhaps even stronger!
