Retired police officer Yoni Ben-Naim immigrated to Israel from Morocco at the age of 5. He moved to Pri-Gan 10 years ago; his wife's parents were among the founders of the moshav, which was originally located in Sinai.

Following the peace treaty with Egypt in 1977, it was moved to a site in the beautiful western Negev, just 4.2 kilometers from the border with Gaza.

On October 7, Hamas terrorists invaded Yoni's house. He, his wife, and four children sought refuge in the protected room. Yoni and his son fought bravely for hours from inside the room. The terrorists blew up the house, but miraculously, stopped the attack in order to pray and suddenly got up and walked out.

That's how the family's lives were saved.
