Kamado Lower Air Vent Seal Mod (Pit Boss Kamado)
I Included this mod in my full maintenance video but wanted a separate video to make it easier to get to the content.
Sorry, I already had this mod complete so I am just going to give you a run through of what steps I took. I can show you how to remove the vent plate and put it back on. The rest will just be explaining the steps.
Take your Felt and cut 1/4 inch strips. Just line everything as you see it here.
One extra step I did is I took a sharp knife and cut these pads thickness in half. The full thickness of the pads made the vent too tight to slide. About half thickness seems perfect and has been functioning flawlessly since instillation.
