Ella's First Surprise: Rescued Hen Lays Her 1st Egg!

I work at Domestic animal services in Naples, Fl. And we had gotten some chicks that were a day or so old that was from TSC. I started to take care of them at work. We held them for two weeks. After that time I had taken two of the light yellow ones. The other two were males. Which I did not need because I had 6 roosters already. I was going to try the raising hens because that is what my son wanted to do. To tell you the truth raising the roosters are a lot easier. All I really had to do was put out feed in the morning and they roamed the property all day.
The hens are a different story, you have to have the right nutrition for them to have hard shell's. Be healthy, Watch for sings of stress or sickness that can affect egg laying. A lot of stuff that I am learning along the way. I have some kikirikis chickens that I thought I would breed. But I don't think I am getting into that just yet. Their is a whole area of that I just started to look into. And it seems hard.
Right now my crw is 1 rooster, 5 hens (2 of them are the rescued leghorn's). 1 rescue Kikirikis rooster from my area, 1 hen the same breed.
