Onder die Sudierkruis is a saga of the trials, tribulations and triumphs of three families over a period of many years. Onder die Suiderkruis is the background to a very human story of complicated and delicate relationships of love, envy, tension and care of a number of people thrown together by their quest for money and riches.
In the first season we meet most of our main characters as children in 1980 and 1985, establishing their parents influence on their lives during their early years. Later as teenagers and young adults we will be able to recognize all the major trends in their behaviour patterns which indeed will echo through most of their lives.
