Broadcom's Buyout of VMWare
Broadcom Inc is a international generation leader that designs, develops, and supplies semiconductor, and infrastructure software program solutions, and VMware, a main innovator in business enterprise softwares, announced recently an agreement under which Broadcom will acquire all of the outstanding shares of VMware in a cash-and-stock transaction that values VMware at approximately $61 billion, based on the closing price of Broadcom common stock on May 25, 2022. In addition, Broadcom will assume $8 billion of VMware net debt.
VMware, a leading provider of multi-cloud services for all applications, is a pioneer in virtualization technology and a revolutionary innovation in server-based x86 computing. VMware then created a software-defined data center, took leadership in network and storage virtualization, and became a leader in hybrid cloud and digital workspaces.

Following the closing of the transaction, the Broadcom Software Group will rebrand and operate as VMware, incorporating Broadcom's existing infrastructure and security software solutions as part of an expanded VMware portfolio.
By bringing collectively the complementary Broadcom Software portfolio with the main VMware platform, the mixed business enterprise will offer company clients an elevated platform of important infrastructure answers to boost up innovation and deal with the maximum complicated records generation infrastructure needs.
