UVU Bio BioFiesta - our Introduction to Bioprocessing and Biotechnology programme
Recap on our BioFiesta held at Khayelitsha Bandwidth Barn earlier this year. The Khayelitsha Bandwidth Barn is UVU Africa's township based innovation hub and we were excited to engage with attendees, showcasing live experiments, hosting Q&A sessions and sharing career insights in biotech!
This event was also a platform to promote our Introduction to Bioprocessing and Biotechnology programme, offering matric holders with an interest in science an opportunity to enter the industry. The programme is delivered with a focus on vaccine manufacturing, as part of our ongoing partnership with GIZ South Africa, Lesotho & eSwatini as part of their SAVAXProject.
Our first cohort of 21 candidates recently commenced and we are currently recruiting for the next programme starting in September. If you or somebody you know holds a matric certificate with a pass of 50% in both Pure Match and Physical Science and are looking for your next opportunity, join our programme at no cost to you.
