Massive Prehistoric Megalodons Resurface To Devour Humans
In "The Meg" (2018), deep-sea rescue diver Jonas Taylor confronts his past and a prehistoric Megalodon shark. Five years after a traumatic mission, he's drawn back into the depths when a new expedition led by a billionaire investor and a marine biologist encounters a monstrous Megalodon in the Mariana Trench. Their initial victory is short-lived when a larger Megalodon emerges, causing Jonas and the team to undertake a daring plan to neutralize the beast and prevent a massacre at a populated beach. Despite the victory, the lingering question remains: was this the last Megalodon, or are more lurking in the ocean's depths?
