In this video I recreate the look of one of the “I May Destroy You” title animations using a light and camera depth of field in After Effects.
The original animation was done by Intermission Film: https://intermissionfilm.com/
I’ve no idea how exactly they created it, but you can get a similar shallow depth of field effect with shadows and blurs if you play around with the spotlight and camera settings.
There are Field of Dreams and The Octagon clips for … reasons. Enjoy!
