Suffering Bastard - 2 tiki cocktails with the same name

Original Suffering Bastard Recipe (from Smuggler’s Cove book - https://amzn.to/3CNZuP8)
1 oz. / 30 ml Gin
1 oz. / 30 ml Brandy
.5 oz. / 15 ml Lime juice
.25 oz. / 8 ml 2:1 Rich demerara syrup (OR .5 oz. / 15 ml 1:1 demerara syrup)
2-3 dashes angostura bitters

1 oz. / 30 ml White Rum (I used Plantation)
