Immigration Reform 2023: BIDEN Will Send EADs To Eligible Green Card Applicants

The video discusses the possibility of issuing employment authorization cards in the early stages of the Green Card application process,
which would put an end to the long wait for a green card.
The proposal suggests that individuals who have had an employment-based Visa petition approved in the eb-1, eb-2 or eb-3 categories
and who have been waiting in the Visa backlog for five years or more should be granted employment authorization documents (EADs) and travel documents.
The recommendation was made by the Presidential Advisory Commission for Asian American Native Hawaiian
and Pacific Islander Commission and was moved by eminent Indian American and its member AJ Butoria.
The proposal is seen as a way to attract and retain global talent in the United States and improve the lives of foreign-born scientists,
engineers, and medical professionals who are frequently subjected to long wait times and uncertainty during the visa approval process.
The video provides an overview of the benefits of this proposal.
