My second Total Solar Eclipse, witnessed on my 2nd trip to the United States of America :)
This was my also my first time travelling to the Western coast as well as the Midwest. Over two weeks, I travelled to Chicago, Columbus, Las Vegas, Los Angeles and finally San Francisco. The primary goal of the trip was to photograph the eclipse, which I accomplished in the tiny town of Sycamore Ohio, site of the "Solar Eclipse in Sycamore" WCA Competition.
I had applied for a visa for this trip in mid 2022, and luckily got the visa just 2 months before the trip. Special thanks to @Nitstar6174 for hosting me in LA, and going to Disneyland and Universal with me, and thanks to @nihalsamin_ and Gaurav for helping me plan the trip as well.
Other highlights of the trip were:
1. Sitting in my first self-driving car in San Francisco.
2. Seeing Snowfall in Chicago.
3. My longest direct flights of 16 hrs each way.
4. Seeing the most famous T-rex fossil "Sue" at the fields museum.
5. My first cubing competition in North America- I got 2nd in 3bld.
6. Sitting in a Tesla for the first time.
7. Seeing the Golden Gate bridge.
8. Seeing Las Vegas at night, as well as Matt Franco's show.
9. Flying over the arctic for the first time.
10. Riding an e-scooter for 11km in Columbus with Nitin :P
