2024 ETM Gala: Israel Houghton & Adrienne Bailon-Houghton with the P.S. 103 Ensemble Stars
On May 16, 2024 Education Through Music held its 2024 fundraising gala on Thursday, May 16 at 583 Park Avenue. The event – “Making Music, Changing Lives” – brought together supporters, advocates, and community leaders in celebration of the transformative power of music in education.
Choir students from PS 103 in the Bronx were then joined by honorees Emmy Award-Winning Talk Show Host Adrienne Eliza Bailon-Houghton @AllThingsAdrienne and Grammy-Award Winning Artist Israel Houghton @israelhoughtonmusic for a special rendition of “Stand By Me.”
Founded in 1991, Education Through Music (ETM) is a nonprofit organization that has provided over 8 million hours of music education in NYC public schools. ETM promotes the use of music as a means of enhancing students' academic performance and general development. By providing year-long, in-school music education programs with a dedicated staff of teachers and support management, ETM makes music education a reality for thousands of underserved children who would otherwise have limited or no exposure to music instruction at school.
