Reintroducing wildcats in Cornwall
The Thousand Year Trust, based in the Cabilla Valley on Bodmin Moor, is the first and only charity in the UK with the sole purpose of protecting, promoting and expanding temperate rainforests.
The Rewilding Britain Innovation Fund is helping them explore the reintroduction of a missing species, the wildcat, crucial for keeping the forest ecosystem in balance. Listening to the voices of landowners, environmental organisations and local communities is vital to shaping the success of the reintroduction story.
