Part 5 of a Terraria Playthrough where we beat the game using fishing mechanics. Fishing is an underrated feature that is actually more beneficial than the majority of players would like to believe. Therefore, I tried to beat the game with just this mechanic while also trying to appeal to the general playerbase to give fishing a shot. Wish me luck.
Well, well, well. This was a long time coming. Too long in fact. Again, incredibly sorry for the super late release of this part. Working with footage from all the way back in 2021 was definitely a challenge considering I had a different setup then. I made sure to bring those recordings to my new setup as I always had hopes on eventually finishing it and I've finally done it.
I held hope on finishing this part was especially because of what was done at this point in the playthrough. I don't expect most people to know but this part has a similar structure to Ningishu's Part 5 Hardcore Expert Summoner Series. It played a huge inspiration to the start of my terraria videos during the pandemic and I wanted to try to replicate the feeling I first had when watching it. Of course, it's not as impressive. I'm not as good them. Although, I did try my best to create good gameplay while combining it with good editing and this was the outcome. I personally feel like I still have a lot to go but this was certainly a big step. Here's to hoping I can continue. Still don't expect anything btw, I could disappear again lmao.

Can you really beat the game with only fishing?
Technically speaking, yes, but that would be extremely boring because it feels too limiting. Therefore, I've made a couple of rules that could help make the playthrough a bit more interesting. My personal ruleset forbids progression through mining and looting most chests. Our main source for most of our gear is only done by fishing with the exception of NPC shop items. Moreover, the run starts with no tools to make it more interesting. It'll be an adventure with a lot of water, crates and fishing! So, if somehow you haven't learned how fishing works or if you just hate the feature, I'd suggest staying for a while as this series also acts as a fishing guide of sorts.
Rules:
1. Start with Rod, Net and Sickle.
2. Weapons, Armor, Accessories and Miscellaneous Must be from Fishing.
3. Bars are only used for tools and armor.
4. NPC shop items(including gear) are allowed. Angler fishing quests are obviously allowed.
5. Fishing Enemy Loot is allowed.
6. Pot Loot is allowed.
7. No Chest Loot except Can of Worms.
8. Only Expert/Master Mode Exclusive Items are allowed from boss drops.
9. Crate items can't be collected through normal means (e.g. ores, heart crystals).
10. Max 200 HP in Pre-Hardmode through mining life crystals. Afterwards, only life crystals from gold crates are used. (Personal Challenge)

Music Used(In Order):
Peritune - Radiant Sunshine
MasterSwordRemix(Undertale Yellow) - Occupied Turf
MasterSwordRemix(Undertale Yellow) - Change of Plans
MasterSwordRemix(Undertale Yellow) - TENTH LEVEL LOCKDOWN
MasterSwordRemix(Undertale Yellow) - Guns Blazing
And of course, the Official Terraria Soundtrack composed by Scott Lloyd Shelly
P. S. Try out Undertale Yellow. It's got banger gameplay, story and definitely banger music :)
Feel free to leave suggestions in the comments. I'd appreciate any contributions to help improve my video editing and my content in general.
