Passives for Power: Measuring with Large Signal Excitation
Innovation of highly efficient power electronics solutions requires deep insights beyond the wide bandgap devices to include the passive components. However, the in-application understanding of capacitors has historically been lacking. This presentation focuses on how the MADCAP capacitor measurement system fully characterizes components under real-life switching conditions. The crucial parameters including capacitance, ESL, ESR and AC power loss are extracted, ultimately accelerating product developments and optimizing the design process.
