The second QB taken in the 2019 NFL Draft by the New York Giants with the 7th Pick, Daniel Jones was expected to take over the reins from Eli Manning, who was entering the final season of his career. He has had his ups and downs since entering the league, but last season, Jones had a career year, helping the Giants make their first playoff appearance since 2016 and even winning their first playoff game since 2011, the year they last won a Super Bowl. After such a milestone, New York felt confident enough in Jones to invest long term into him, signing him to a 4 Year, $160m contract with $82m guaranteed. Once announced, this drew ridicule from fans and professionals alike, and so far this season, Jones and the Giants are proving them right. Today, we’ll go more into that as well as where I feel the Giants are going wrong thus far this season.
