Joseph Vincent Flacco. Taken with the 18th pick in the 2008 NFL Draft by the Baltimore Ravens, Flacco would establish himself as a starter for the Ravens for the next decade, where he would set multiple franchise records and help Baltimore win a Super Bowl back in 2013, with him being named Super Bowl MVP. He would be benched by Baltimore in 2018 in favor of then rookie Lamar Jackson. After getting traded by Baltimore following the 2018 season, he would play for many teams as a fringe starter and backup, and after his most recent tenure with the Jets in 2022, it was believed that Flacco would never play in the NFL again. However, never say never, and Flacco would sign a deal just one month ago to play for the Cleveland Browns in lieu of Deshaun Watson’s season ending injury. Since Flacco became the starter, the Browns are 3-1 and are in prime position to make the playoffs. Today, we’re going to talk about his success with Cleveland as well as why his triumphant return was absolutely needed this season.
