If someone has a balance issue in single leg stance, it's important to get them off their feet and get the glutes activating. A straight leg bridge is a very challenging exercise, but it's a great way to assess a person's hip extension bilaterally. Incorporating a roll with this increases the challenge. Often you will see a difference on one side or the other. Be sure to incorporate breathing into the pattern.
